In the last one and a half decades of the previous century I produced a lot of pop and rock tunes in my 8-track recording studio with the help of some friends of mine. Casino Babel and A.R.K. were the names of theses studio projects.

It was a big challenge to produce music with a low budget 8-track tape-recorder, an Atari personal computer,
an 8 Bit drumbox, a spring reverb and some cheap microphones. Nowadays it is so easy to produce a good sound,
at that time it was demanding great skill. But it was also great fun.
I mixed on a two-track-tape, cut it and spliced the pieces together. Then we copied the master on dozens of
music cassettes because in the 80s and early 90s there were no low cost CD writers available.
Casino Babel line-up:
On some songs we had the help of guest musicians and singers.
I am in the process of re-mastering the productions and they will all appear on CD.

When Richard Bellinghausen left the band Casino Babel disbanded and Karl Beck, Achim Sußbauer and I founded the studio project A.R.K. We produced one CD called Endangered Species comprising 12 tracks - some originated as cooperations, others were solo projects which I recorded myself.
